The dates for the 2013 County League have yet to be finalised, so watch this space.
2012
Following a meeting of club officers from the various Kerry clubs who expressed an interest in being involved in a ‘Count League’ style competition this summer, the following was decided:
As the goal of this series of events is to maximise participation by cyclists new to the sport of Road Racing, each event is to be a stand-alone race, which forms part of a ‘Road Race Series’, but which will not be part of a League Competition. Following a review of the Series in October, it will be decided if a League is viable, and can be run in 2013.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three riders across the line at each race, and awards will be presented following the final round, to those who took part in all rounds of both the TT League and the Road Race Series.
The TT league will commence on Thursday, May 10th, with a format similiar to the 2011 competition. The RR Series will start on Thursday May 17th, on the Kilgobnet Circuit, and be organised by Killorglin C.C. Start times are 7:15 sharp. Races are to be 25-30 miles long.
Tralee CC will host the final round of the RR Series on the 26th July. The Race will consist of two laps of the Lixnaw- Ballinclogher-Abbeydorney-Lixnaw circuit. The road for Rás Leac Sná has been re-surfaced and the route can be found using the following link to Bikemap.net:

The County RR Championships will be held on the 11th August, and be organised by Tralee B.C. The County TT Championships will be held on the 16th August, and Peter Whyte will be the event organiser.
Club or One Day Licences will be required. An entry fee of €5 will be standard. An ambulance will attend each round of the RR series. A handicap system will be applied thus: Novice A4 – 1 min – A4 – 2 mins – A3 / Junior – 3 mins – A1/A2.
